Renewed Mind= Transfigured Body

The Greek word translated in English as renew in Rom 12:2 can also be translated as change or transfigure. It is thesame word used on the account of the transfiguration of Christ’s body in Matthew 17:1-2. Notice that when the Lord was transfigured…His face shined as a sun…and His clothe was white as the light. Our minds and bodies will experience a change in substance once our minds are renewed with the word of God. Romans 12: 2 can read thus …” be you transfigured by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. Our faces can shine as the Sun just like it happened to the Lord. In 2 corinthians 3:18 apost paul said …”But we all with OPEN FACE beholding as in Glass the glory of the Lord are CHANGED INTO THESAME IMAGE from glory to glory…”
Thesame greek word is translated as CHANGE in this verse of scripture…But notice the change affects our body (Open face) as we behold the glory of the Lord in the Mirror…which is God’s word.! Glory to God!

The New Testament teaches that our bodies will be tranfigured once our minds are renewed with God’s Word. The transformation paul is talking about is not limited to a tranformed lifestyle but includes a tranfigured body. Moses underthe ministration of condemnation…the old covenant experienced a change in His body(face) as he shut himself up with God on Mount Sinai. In comparison with what we have in the New Covenant that which was glorious then has no glory in this respect because of the glory that excels which we have in the New Covenant.

Can you gaze into a mirror that reflects the sun when it is fully set and is at the peak of it’s strength? …God’s word mirror’s God’s glory just as the sun. When you behold that glory…that radiance of God emanating from His word…you are changed…you are transformed…you are transfigured from glory to glory!

The word has to pass through the eye gate…the ear gate…and the mouth for it to be uploaded to our minds. Then we need to continue reading it, hearing it, muttering it or speaking it out loud for it to be downloaded from our minds to our spirits. It becomes a very powerful force in us once we find it…ie once it gets into our hearts.
And once we get it into our spirits…we don’t STOP…we CONTINUE reading it, hearing it, and speaking it until it PREVAILS in our lives! Glory!
