No one is capable of convincing us about the wind…that it is non-existent or not a reality. The realm of the spirit needs to become real to us as the wind is to us naturally.

I am amazed at the genealogy…lineage…family tree of the Lord Jesus Christ. In one genealogy list Joseph the husband of Mary the mother of Jesus was listed!

He was not the biological father of the Lord Jesus Christ!

A lesson I have learned is… Heaven recognizes and approves the role foster parents play in raising children. If you are an adopted child…recognize the authority God has put over your life in your foster parents…love and submit to them. They are your family…God recognizes here on earth!

You remember Judah…a son of Jacob…the brother of Joseph who had a dream and became a ruler in Egypt? Judah was short-sighted about his future like most of us today. Remember he was in the conspiracy that sold his brother as a slave. He… like other of his brethren envied Joseph becos of his dreams…not realizing that God had a divine purpose for his life also.

He is mentioned in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was the forth generation from Abraham in the lineage of Jesus. Jesus was his descendant.Think about that. A lesson here is the futility of competition. We are all called for a unique purpose in the mind of God. Be content with God’s purpose for your life.

You remember Rehab…the prostitute of Jericho? Out of the depth of sin God brought her…cleaned her up and gave her a godly husband…The great, great-grandson of Abraham-God’s friend,… Salmon-the 10th generation from Abraham.

A Vital Lesson For Couples

I always felt Mary the mother of our Lord Jesus was not the talkative type. Have you ever wondered why she did not tell Joseph her husband about her encounter with the Angel who brought God’s message to her about giving birth to a Son that she should call Jesus?

I expected her to explain the circumstance of her pregnancy to her husband @ the time he was worried she was cheating on him and was considering a private divorce.

In human history her experience is an exception…I think her explanation to Joseph would not have made sense. Joseph cannot relate to any precedent in human history where a woman became pregnant without a sexual relationship with a man.

I imagine Mary thought through all of these…then she finally made a decision to commit her situation into God’s hand without her interference.

Notice …it took God to convince Joseph…He personally spoke to Joseph in a dream @ the time he was so worried about Mary’s pregnancy.

God also spoke to Joseph about the name of the Child…what He should be called…exactly thesame name He spoke to mary through His angel THE NAME Jesus- a great lesson for us today.

Couples should expect God to confirm His word to them…If its important He will speak to you and your spouse about it…thats the kind of God we serve. Glory to God!

Insights on our Redemption

We are justified by the blood of Jesus. We are saved from God’s wrath!

We are set totally free from the power of sin !

The righteous requirement of the law is fulfilled in us who are in Christ!

We are the recipients of God’s over-flowing grace !

The obedience of Christ to offer his life for us…has made us righteous and acceptable in God’s eyes !

Concerning those who are God Fearing but not Saved

In EVERY NATION there are people who RESPECT and HONOR GOD…do not ever forget this truth !

In Acts 10: 34, 35, Apostle peter said :”…of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons. BUT IN EVERY NATION HE THAT FEARETH HIM AND WORKETH RIGHTEOUSNESS IS ACCEPTED WITH HIM.

Apostle Peter made this statement in a context which I would like to bring out here.
Remember Cornelius…the Gentile convert to Judaism? The Bible described him as a devout man that feared God with his household. He was not saved @ this time but this was how the word of God described him in Acts 10: 1-5.

Notice Something else about this man:…he gave alms to the people and prayed always!.
He was not a saved man yet but he lived like that …doing good works!

While he was in a prayer and fast @ a point in his life, he was visited by an angel sent by God to him to deliver a message that will guide him on what to do to be saved.

Notice the angel’s words to him …”Thine prayers and thine alms have come up as a MEMORIAL BEFORE GOD…”
Then he was instructed to send for peter to tell him words for him to be saved.

Here is a point I want to make…This man was God fearing…prayed and fasted…gave alms to people but he was not a believer…he was not saved…he had not given his life to Christ. If he died in this condition…he will be lost. But we need to see that God is faithful…Just as he helped Cornelius…and sent His angel to guide him on what to do to be saved…for people in our time who are God fearing as Cornelius…God might not show them a vision as He did to Cornelius but something we need to be certain about…God will give them the opportunity to be guided to the truth. They will have the opportunity to hear the word of God or be guided to the word of God so as to be saved.

Prayer Thoughts

God expects us to personally make our prayer requests known to Him !
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present YOUR requests to God.(Phil 4:6 NIV)

When you are anxious about something…you are nervous…worried…concerned…uneasy…apprehensive…restless and fearful about that very thing. Our heavenly Father however does not want us to be anxious about ANYTHING! Instead through the avenue ofprayer…supplication and thanksgiving…we can make our requests to Him!

We discontinue prayer for people once we hear a good report about them…a testimony that they are doing very well. Our preference is to center our prayers around people who are not doing well… people who are struggling…people who have backslidden…people who are defeated. While this is commendable, we need to realize the importance of praying without ceasing for people who are doing well !
Apostle Paul continued to offer prayers for the Church@ Ephesus even after hearing good reports about their faith and love walk:
“For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.( Ephesians 1:15,16 NIV)

As far as heaven is concerned…we as Believers are CITIZENS of heaven now ! In studying the Word of God I was amazed to discover that it is only “ONE SIN” that can make a Believer lose his Citizenship in heaven. The Sin is one that extinguishes Eternal Life in a Believer called the “Sin unto death”. All unrighteousness is sin…there is a sin not unto death!

At the Judgement seat of Christ in heaven when our WORKS will be tested by fire to know what sort it is…there will be believers who will suffer loss because their WORKS was burned… but they shall be SAVED!

Our primary aim should be…to live a good life…increasing in good works…increasing in the fruits of righteousness through doing the greater works that Jesus said we will do in His name…doing the work of ministry for the building up of the body of Christ so as to be rewarded by the Lord according to our works here on earth in heaven!

Our good works should be inspired by FAITH not religion. God will reward us for works inspired by Faith…Works we do by the hearing of faith…the hearing of the word of God!

Meditation and Spiritual Growth

Here is how to meditate on God’s word: mutter it, speak it softly to yourself repeatedly over and over again! When you interact with the word of God this way…the Holy-spirit will teach you…understanding will come to your heart and you will increase in learning !

Several years ago…my aunt was admitted in a hospital in the city I live. She was unconscious because an artery had bust in her head and formed a blood clot . I took an auto-reverse cassette player and healing scripture tape along and moved into her hospital room. I sat by her bedside from 11am until the following morning playing the healing scriptures over her. She came around and the clot was melted by the Word of God !

Insights on the Ministry of the Apostle in our time

Jesus builds His church through the ministries He has set in His body via His Word. His Word gives to us the inheritance of the saints in the light…and brings us to oneness in faith…oneness in the knowledge of the the Son of God until we reach maturity…to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ… growing up into Him in all THINGS…in character…in works and deeds of righteousness…

And the work of God will push forward as we have not seen it…it shall be an unprecedented move of God with the fire of love from heaven upon these men and women.

Today we do not have Foundational Apostles and Prophets in the class of the 12 Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ and other Apostles as Paul the Apostle . The Apostles and Prophets today will BUILD UPON the Foundation which has been laid already – Jesus Christ…the Chief Corner Stone. THEY CAN NEVER LAY A “NEW FOUNDATION” FOR DOCTRINE FOR THE CHURCH !

There are Apostles today …but my point is we do not have Apostles today in the same class as the 12 Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ…and Paul the Apostle. These laid the foundation in doctrine for the New Testament Church. The Apostles today must build upon that foundation laid and cannot lay any other foundation. In building upon that foundation…the word of God is the tool…instrument that builds the believer up to the full stature of Christ.

Here is a Check list for a New Testament Apostle:

a)He is SENT with a commission or charge.
(b)An Apostle must have the signs of an Apostle following his ministry…signs…wonders…mighty deeds.
c) An Apostle must have people his ministry has established in the Word of God. d) An Apostle must point to established churches he pioneered. d) This ministry is not a dictatorship…does not dominate people’s lives.

There is an Obsession in the Body of Christ today about the ministry of the Apostle and Prophet.
Across the world today… many Christian people are fascinated and fixated about these two callings more than the other ministries. There are others who question if these ministries exist at all in our day. Some even go the extreme to imply…these two callings…the Apostle and the Prophet are the most important ministries in the body of Christ with governing powers within the local churches.Well … I want to be pointed in what I am about to say…God does not reward OFFICES but God rewards FAITHFULNESS.

The governing powers in the local church rests on the Pastor. Apostles can exercise spiritual leadership on the churches they founded and established. The Apostle’s ministry embraces all other ministry gifts including the governmental powers of a pastor but is distinguished through his ability to establish churches. Love should be the motivation in our lives and callings.Apostles and other ministry offices should not dominate people’s lives. A true Apostolic ministry will not take men in bondage as well as churches.

…Eph 4:11-13 lists the five ministry offices and their purpose…which is to perfect or mature the saints for the work of ministry unto the building up of the body of Christ.
Paul went further to give us a clue how long Jesus gave these gifts. I want you to notice what verse 13 says specifically:

…”TILL we all come in the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the fulness of Christ”.

I have some questions for you : Have we all come in the unity of the faith yet? …Have we All come to knowledge of the Son of God…unto a perfect man…unto the measure of the fulness of Christ?

I doubt that the Church has come to this point. For this reason …the gift of the Apostle and the other gifts are with us today.

If you can picture all of these in your mind now…then I have goodness for you…You are blessed extraordinarily by God beyond your imagination!

When your employer promises to give you a raise on your salary…his words inspire hope and you begin to make plans ahead. Now God has made a lot of promises to you. He has promised to meet all your needs. If you have needs presently…do not forget to remind God about His word to you. As you go to remind Him in prayer…You can look to its fulfillment with absolute certainty because God Keeps His Word!

With our WORKS we build upon the foundation of our lives- Jesus Christ ! Our works are categorized into two groups: a) Gold, Silver and Precious Stones (Good Works). b) Wood, Hay, Stubble (Works of the flesh). At the Judgement Seat of Christ, the fire of Christ’s Judgement will try our works to reveal…expose its quality. If our works are Good, we will be rewarded. If our works are Evil, we will suffer loss …however the foundation of our life will REMAIN…we shall be saved…but as a man who lost all he has in an inferno but who escaped with his life!

Did you notice that Jesus told the woman with the issue of blood that HER FAITH had made her whole? How did she get HER FAITH? She got HER FAITH when she HEARD ABOUT JESUS. (Mark 5:27) When MEDICAL SCIENCE FAILS…YOUR FAITH WILL HEAL YOU! FAITH IS AN ALTERNATIVE TO MEDICAL SCIENCE.

Jesus sidestepped the multitude who crowded and squeezed Him on every side to respond to the touch of a hemorrhaging woman inspired by faith ! ( Mark 5:25-34)

“Through faith we UNDERSTAND…” (Heb. 11:3).
Notice that we “understand through Faith” . How does faith come to us then? “…Faith cometh BY HEARING AND HEARING the Word of God.(Romans 10:17). As we HEAR the Word of God REPEATEDLY, Faith will come to our spirits FIRST and then UNDERSTANDING through faith. Here is my paraphrase of Heb 11:3 ” Through Faith which comes by HEARING AND HEARING we understand…”!
Through faith we understand…”that the worlds were framed by the word of God…”
Through faith which comes by hearing and hearing the word of God…”we understand that Himself(Jesus) bare our sins in His own body on the tree…and BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED!

As we hear the word of God repeatedly on the subject of healing for instance…we will have faith and understanding to be healed!

Presently, there are a lot of activities going on across the world. Things are happening all over the world for real. The angels of God are assigned to minister for you as an heir of salvation…they have received God’s command to keep you safe in ALL your ways of obedience and service to Him !
“…What things soever ye desire, WHEN YE PRAY believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them”(Mark 11:24) “WHEN YE PRAY”…The phrase “WHEN” infers our prayer time. We need to create time in our schedule to pray. Jesus expects us to have a prayer time.

When you damn people through prayer…making petitions to God against them in prayer…it shows you have “something” against them in your heart already. You need to forgive them…You need to let go of “that” which has made you to take offense …that which has inspired you to make prayers against them

In Christ we are sheltered …protected …guarded from ALL of satan’s attack. This is an unmistakable fact!

Even though God’s word…His promise to us may sound too good to be true at times…yet it is steadfast…reliable and we can look to it’s fulfillment in our lives with expectation !
